Ordered phone online with at&t by accident help?

Ok so i ordered two phones by accident and i already talked to customer service and they said to just send it back and they'll cancel the phone and give me my money back so i sent it back and it'll take around 10 days for it to reach them but since it was already activated when it came to me they are charging me for it so what should i do call them will they stop the charges??
