What are some NICE cities or states to live in the U.S. that aren't super expensve?

Good luck. Any city that has good weather is expensive to live (unless you don't mind living in the bad part of the city). I live in Long Beach California and the weather is great. Here in long beach a 2 bedroom ok looking apartment will be about 1500 a month.
